Senior Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives the Russian Ambassador to Iraq

     Senior Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nizar AL Khirollah received on Thursday 3/2/2022 the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev.

    During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation and ways of developing the bilateral relations between Iraq and the Russian Federation. The Iraqi Undersecretary has confirmed the keenness of Iraq to develop its relations with Russia in different scopes.

    On his part the Russian Ambassador confirmed the efforts of the Russian Government to strengthen the cooperation with Iraq to realize the joint interests of the two friendly countries.

    During the meeting they touched upon the updates of the political and security situations witnessed by the Region and its reflections on the other countries and they also confirmed the importance of dialogue and common understanding to reach peaceful settlements in a way to meet the interests of all concerned parties.
