Minister of Foreign Affairs Participates in a Symposium on Migration and International Security
On 18/2/2022, the Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein participated in the symposium (Migration and International Security) on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in its 58th session, which was held in the German city of Munich.
The participants at the symposium discussed the causes of international migration and its historical roots, the way the European Union deals with the migration file, programmes to alleviate its problems, cooperation and partnerships with the third countries to resolve it.
The participants stated that poverty, corruption, and the low level of the quality of life and services are among the most important factors causing migration, explaining that attention to the quality of education and the provision of services, and creating of political stability and economic development, are important matters to reduce the phenomenon of international migration.
