Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences Meets Japanese Ambassador to Iraq

On 11/1/2022, the acting head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences, Dr Abbas Kadhem Obaid, met Mr Suzuki Kotaro, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they reviewed many international issues and resolutions of common interest before international organisations and conferences in various fields, as well as the coordination of positions and mutual support between the two countries.

The two sides emphasized the historic depth of bilateral relations between Iraq and Japan which is an encouraging factor towards continuing the exchange of views and coordination of positions. The head of the Department handed the letter of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Fuad Hussein, to his Japanese counterpart in this regard.
