Head of the Department of Asia and Australia Meets Indian Ambassador in Baghdad

On 5/12/2121, the Acting Head of the Department of Asia and Australia Haider Radhi Nasser Al-Shamarti, met the Indian Ambassador in Baghdad, Mr Prashant Bisai, at the Ministry’s headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments and bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. The Head of the Department of Asia and Australia affirmed his readiness to cooperate with the Indian Embassy In Baghdad in a manner that serves the development of bilateral relations in accordance with the principle of mutual interests between the two countries, and to further complete the procedures of signing and implementing memoranda of understanding and agreements between Iraq and India.

On his part, the Indian Ambassador expressed his country’s desire to continue enhancing bilateral relations with Iraqi institutions in areas of common interest, extending his thanks to the head of the Department of Asia and Australia for the warm reception and hospitality.
