Ambassador of Iraq to the Vatican Meets the President of the Pontifical for Education

  H.E. Ambassador Qais Saad Al Amery the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Vatican Mr. Rahman Farhan Al Amiry on 1/12/2021, the president of the Pontifical Council (Minister of Education), His eminence the Cardinal Gianfranco Rafazi.

   At the beginning of the meeting H.E. Ambassador Al Amery extended his thanks and appreciation to his eminence Cardinal Rafazi for giving the opportunity for meeting   and for the contribution of the Pontifical Council for education of a number of books for the cultural institutions in the Ninava province.

   H.E. the Ambassador the efforts exerted by the embassy to be in constant touch reviewed with the Vatican think tanks and study centres especially the Pontifical institute for Arabic and Islamic studies and the institute active participation in the conference recently organized by the university of Wasit and its intention to organize and participate in the educational symposium hosted by the university of Maisan / college of education to discuss ” the attitudes of  religions on the violence against women”.

 The possible means of cooperation were discussed about holding symposiums, conferences and exhibitions in also with the Iraqi competent authorities and organizing the visits of the Vatican delegations to visit some of the religious and archeological landmarks and in Iraq.       

  On his part, his eminence Rafazi expressed his pleasure of this meeting and the projects proposed by the embassy, and expressed his readiness to open the cooperation horizons with Iraq in these areas and other areas of common concern.
