Acting Head of International Organizations and Conferences Department Meets Qatari Charge d’affaires in Baghdad

The acting Head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences Minister Plenipotentiary Mr. Rahman Farhan Al Ameri met with the Qatari Charge d’affaires in Baghdad, Mr. Hussein Ali Al-Fadhala at the Foreign Ministry. The Qatari Charge d’affaires delivered a letter to the Minister by the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Rahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, in which he requested Iraq’s support for Qatar’s candidacy for membership of the Executive Council of the Civil Aviation Organization and the membership of the UNESCO Executive Council.

On his part, the head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences said that the ministry welcomes the request of the Qatari government and will study the request and praised the development of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and pointed to Iraq’s endeavor to develop its relationship with brothers in Qatar.
