Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Dhaka Meets Minister of Expatriates and Overseas Employment

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Dhaka, Counsellor Abdul Salam Saddam Muhsin Al-Jawani, has met the Bangladeshi Minister of Expatriates and Overseas Employment, Mr. Imran Ahmed.

During the meeting, they have discussed the memorandum of understanding signed between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in 2013, and ways to activate Article (12) thereof through the joint committees formed by the two friendly countries.

The Minister Imran Ahmed stated his readiness to collaborate in activating the work of these committees in a way that enhances the interest of the two friendly countries. They also discussed the recent parliamentary elections that took place on 10/10/2021 and the expected government formation in light of the results of the elections.

This visit comes as part of a series of meetings and visits conducted by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Dhaka, after assuming the duties of the mission’s presidency since the beginning of last August.
