Foreign Minister Meets His Saudi Counterpart in Belgrade

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, on Monday, 10/11/2021, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, in the Serbian capital Belgrade, on the sidelines of the meeting of the 60th anniversary of holding the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement. 

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries were discussed, as well as political developments in the region. 

His Excellency affirmed Iraq’s continuation of its initiatives aimed at reducing tensions in the region and normalizing relations between its countries. 

The Minister gave a brief about the electoral process that took place yesterday in Iraq, which proceeded in a safe and democratic manner, and its importance to the Iraqi people.

For his part, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan affirmed the Kingdom’s support for Iraq, wishing it and its people progress and prosperity.
