Undersecretary for Multilateral Relations and Legal Affairs Chairs Elections Committee Meeting

Undersecretary for Multilateral Relations and Legal Affairs, Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf chairs on October 6, 2021the fourth and final meeting of the committee which was formed under the Presidential Order No.301 charged with coordinating with the concerned government agencies to facilitate the work of the international observers of the upcoming parliamentary elections in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution No. 2576 of 2021.

The committee reviewed the results of implementing the recommendations made in the previous meetings and discussed a number of issues related to facilitating the work of the international observers and the mechanism for their implementation.

The Director of Electoral Assistance in the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq, Mr. Amir Erain and the Deputy Head of the Electoral Observation Team of the European Union, Mr. Alexandre Matos thanked the Committee and its Chairman for providing all facilities in accordance with the tasks entrusted to them.
