Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Muscat Meets Omani Minister of Transport

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Muscat Mr. Ali Mahdi Aldabagh met with the Omani Minister of Transport and Communications Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Salem Al-Futtaisi, at his office at the Ministry. Following the welcoming and complimentary statements, the two sides discussed the Iraqi-Omani vision for the regional situation in the light of the development of relations between the two countries after the mutual visits of Omani Foreign Minister Mr. Yousef bin Alawi to Baghdad in addition to opening a direct flight line between Iraq and Oman, as Ambassador Aldabagh highlighted the importance of this airline on the economy and tourism.

 The Ambassador also noted that there is a political decision in the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations and to sign a number of memorandums and agreements that can enhance political, economic and cultural cooperation.

On his part, the minister expressed his interest with was put forward during the meeting to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
