Foreign Minister receives His Polish Counterpart and Calls on European Countries in Which There Are Iraqi Citizens Stranded at Their Borders to the need to Deal with Them in a Decent and Humane Manner, and Not to Use Any Arbitrary or Coercive Measure Against Them
On Thursday, September 23, 2021, the Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Zbigniew Rau, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they discussed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Warsaw, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in all fields. The Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein expressed his happiness with this meeting, referring to the efforts made by Iraq, contributing to strengthening regional and international peace and security, because the stability and security of the region will reflect positively on peace and security in Iraq.
For his part, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau praised the pivotal and vital role that Iraq began to play in the Middle East through initiatives aimed at resolving disputes and differences between regional countries in the region, stressing his country’s support for the sovereignty and unity of Iraq, expressing his aspiration to strengthen economic relations between the two countries.
