Plenipotentiary Minister, Dr. Ali Hilal meets Japanese Ambassador to Baghdad

Plenipotentiary Minister, Dr. Ali Hilal met on 12/9/2021 the Ambassador of Japan to Baghdad, Mr. Suzuki Kotaro. During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation within the Asian group in preparation for the session of the Human Rights Council, as well as the work of the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two sides also discussed the statements and agenda items that will be discussed during these two international forums.

Mr. Kotaro praised Iraq’s efforts in the field of women’s empowerment and the efforts of the Iraqi government in activating Security Council Resolution No. (1325) on women, peace and security.
