Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Belgrade Meets Foreign Minister of Montenegro

Ambassador Fakhri Hassan Al-Issa met with Montenegrin Foreign Minister Mr. Srdjan Darmanović at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in Podgorica one day after he presented his credentials as non-resident Ambassador to Montenegro.

     Minister Darmanović welcomed the ambassador and congratulated him on receiving his new duties and stressed the readiness of the two countries to develop cooperation in all areas of common interest. Minister Darmanović also noted that Montenegro is committed to fighting terrorism and extremism and is committed to the maximum extent possible by contributing to efforts by the international community to create long-term stability in Iraq stressing the importance of continuing to help Iraq in reconstruction.

     The Ambassador expressed interest in deepening bilateral relations, primarily internal security affairs, and pointed to the possibility of developing scientific and educational cooperation between the two countries.
