Foreign Minister Receives Phone Call from his Somali Counterpart Mr. Ahmed Issa Awad

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim received a telephone call from his Somali counterpart Mr. Ahmed Issa Awad, and discussed bilateral relations and means of strengthening them in various fields to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

The Ministers also discussed several regional issues of common concern and counter-terrorism efforts.

On his part, Mr. Ahmed Issa Awad, stressed his country’s keenness to improve bilateral relations with Baghdad to achieve common interests, expressing appreciation for Iraq’s support to the Somali Mission working in Baghdad.
