Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Prague Meets Undersecretary of Czech Foreign Minister

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Prague, SundusOmar Ali, met with the Senior Undersecretary of the Czech Foreign Minister, Mr. Jan Kohout, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jakub Kulhanek, on the occasion of the endof her duties in Prague.

Mr. Kohut offered his condolences to the victims of the fire incident at Imam Hussein Hospital in Nasiriyah Province andexpressed his thanks to the Ambassador for her tireless efforts to develop relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Iraq, under the critical conditions associated with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, increase tradebetween both countries and encourage the Czech companies for engaging in the Iraqi market and benefiting from investment opportunities.

He stressed the Czech government’s desire to develop bilateral relations at various levels, and the Czech Republic supports the security and stability of Iraq.

On her part, the Ambassador thanked Mr. Kohout for the meeting and emphasized the importance of continuing the Czech Republic to provide assistance and support to Iraq in confronting terrorism, reconstruction, and the exchange of visits between senior officials in the two countries.
