Head of Human Rights Department Meets with Charge’ d’affaires of French Embassy in Baghdad

The Head of Human Rights Department, plenipotentiary Dr. Ali Hilal met with the Charge’ d’affaires of the French Embassy in Baghdad Mr. Jean-Noel Bonnieu on 6/7/2021.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the two countries with respect to promoting and protecting human rights and France’s role in bolstering Iraq in this domain.

As regards work of the Human Rights Council HRC 47th session which is currently underway in Geneva, the two sides discussed the joint statements and interactive dialogues that are taking place according to the session agenda items.
