Consul General Participates in the Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip’s) Award Ceremony
In the presence of a number of consuls general, and the mayor of Stockport as well as an associate (Lord leightenent), the Iraqi Consul General in Manchester, Dr. Ihsan Allawi, participated in the 65th anniversary of the launch of the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh Award, which encourages young people to volunteer in various fields, including environmental preservation, public health, and social fields.
The event witnessed speeches and cultural events, planting a tree as evidence of one of the program’s activities in preserving the environment and planting (65) seeds representing the number of years Prince Philip sponsored his program.
