Acting Head of Human Rights Department Meets Director of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Baghdad

On 26 May 2021, the acting head of the Human Rights Department, Dr. Ali Hilal, met Ms. Danielle Bell, Chief of the Human Rights Office at UNAMI, and the representative of the United Nations’ High Commissioner for Human Rights in Iraq.

During the meeting, the role of the office in supporting the Iraqi government in the field of implementing its international obligations in accordance with its mandate was reviewed, as well as the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) under Security Council Resolution No. (2522) of 2020.
