Foreign Minister Receives Copy of Credentials of the Philippines Ambassador to Baghdad

On 25 May 2021, Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of H.E. Mr. Generoso D. G. Calonge, the Philippines ambassador to Baghdad.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

The Minister expressed Baghdad’s aspiration for a greater role played by the Philippines in various fields, stressing Baghdad’s interest in strengthening communication between officials of the two countries and opening channels for bilateral cooperation, calling for the need to continue working to raise the levels of coordination and consultation at all levels. The Minister wished the Ambassador success in his duties in Baghdad, expressing the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide all services to the diplomatic mission to achieve the common interests between the two countries.
