Iraqi Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Meets Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
On 26 May 2021, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Abu Dhabi, Dr. Mudhafar Al-Jbori met with the Emirati Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, H.E. Mr. Sultan Muhammad Al Shamsi, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The two sides touched upon cooperation and coordination to develop fraternal relations under the support of the leaderships of the two countries, in addition to discussing issues of common interest.
The ambassador affirmed Iraq’s keenness to advance the horizons of cooperation in a way that would benefit the two peoples through strategic cooperation and joint coordination to promote mutual interests, and pointed to the importance of emphasizing the activation of the accomplishments achieved and intensifying efforts within this framework during the coming period.
For his part, Mr. Al Shamsi stressed that the UAE has always stood by Iraq, and that it continues to support its stability and the process of building it, and looks forward to more cooperation in all fields. In this regard, he referred to the projects being implemented by the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth in Mosul, foremost of which is the project to revive the spirit of Mosul, and emphasized that this initiative aims to rebuild the historic city’s landmarks.
