Iraqi Ambassador in Islamabad Receives Senator in the Pakistani Senate

H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Laftah, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad received Mrs. Baloch Khan, Senator in the Pakistani Senate for the People’s Party, accompanied by Mrs. Nafisa Shah Gilani, Member of the Pakistani National Assembly.

The two sides discussed issues of common interest. Mr. Laftah affirmed the Iraqi government’s keenness to promote bilateral relations in a way that serves the interests of the two countries.
The two sides affirmed their country’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause, expressing their condemnation of acts of intimidation and spreading terror amongst the wounded Palestinian people, considering the Palestinian cause a central issue.
