Iraq Takes Part in Extraordinary Meeting on Iranian Nuclear Agreement in Vienna

The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Ambassador Bakr Fattah Hussein, participated in the Extraordinary Meeting on the Iranian Nuclear Agreement, which was held at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna on Wednesday, July  10. The Ambassador affirmed Iraq’s support for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) which represents an achievement for multilateral diplomacy, and abandoning the agreement could be catastrophic for the entire area, stressing the Iraqi Government’s call on the sides to return to the negotiating table and keeping the door open for diplomacy to overcome the current crisis.
