Acting Head of the Human Rights Department Meets Indian Ambassador to Iraq

On 1 April 2021, the acting Head of the Human Rights Department, Dr. Ali Hilal met with Ambassador of India to Iraq, Mr. Berner Singh Yadav, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, issues related to the promotion and protection of human rights were discussed in accordance with international and national mechanisms, and in line with the obligations of the two countries and their laws in force, as well as the willingness of India to become a member of the Human Rights Council and its role in supporting Iraq in international fora.
