Seniors Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Meets the Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 3 March 2021, Mr. Nizar Khairallah met with the Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassador Mrs. Maya Tissafi, who is on an official visit to Iraq.
During the meeting, issues of joint cooperation between Iraq and Switzerland were discussed, and preparations for the upcoming visit of the Swiss Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Ignazio Cassis to Iraq. They also discussed the strategy of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Middle East and Iraq for the period 2021-2024 and its main principles, which focused on issues related to security, peace, human rights, immigration and aids provided to the displaced persons.

The meeting touched upon a number of issues of mutual interests on international level.
