The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Tunisia Meets with Tunisian Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of the People and Hands him an Official Invitation to Visit Iraq

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Tunisia, Mr. Majid Al-Lajmawi met with Mr. Rached el-Ghannouchi,Speaker of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People met at Bardo Palace, and the two sides praised the status of relations between Baghdad and Tunisia and stressed the importance of strengthening ways of cooperation to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

The Ambassador delivered an official invitation to the Speaker of the People’s Representatives Council to visit Iraq. In turn, the Speaker of the People’s Assembly thanked the Ambassador for this generous invitation and looked forward to meeting it as soon as possible.

On his part, the speaker of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People offered expressions of condolences and sympathy to the brotherly Iraqi people following the terrorist operation that took place on Thursday 01/21/2021, and caused the death of dozens of innocent people and called to make more efforts to intensify trade exchange, support economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries, invest available opportunities to advance and diversify this cooperation, and invite Iraqi investors to intensify investment in Tunisia.
