The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Brussels Receives NATO Assistant Secretary-General for Operations

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Brussels, Mr. Sadiq Al-Rikabi, received in his office at the embassy’s headquarters, the NATO Assistant Secretary-General for Operations Mr. John Menza and his accompanying delegation, and during the meeting they discussed bilateral files of common interest between Iraq and NATO and discussed the latest developments regarding the work of the NATO non-combat Training Mission (NMI) in Iraq and its role in providing advice and training to Iraqi forces in line with the aspirations and needs of Iraq and enhancing the capabilities of its forces and benefiting from NATO’s expertise in this field.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Menza and his accompanying delegation expressed thanks and gratitude to Ambassador Al-Rikabi for the hospitality and reception, stressing the importance of communication and exchange of visions between Iraq and the NATO in a way that serves the interests of Iraq and its assistance in its war against terrorism.
