Head of Europe Department Meets with Armenian Ambassador to Iraq

Head of the European Department, Ambassador Abdul Karim Toama Mahdi, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq, Mr. Hrachya Poladian at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to develop them to meet the aspirations of both friendly peoples, and joint efforts to sign a number of draft agreements and proposed memorandum of understanding between Iraq and Armenia.

The two sides discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the developments of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh region and the efforts that led to reaching an agreement to stop the fighting between the two sides.
