The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Rome Meets with Commander in Chief of Italian Carabinieri

The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Rome, Mrs. Safia Al-Suhail, met with Lieutenant General Giovanni Nistri, Commander in Chief of the Carabinieri.

The Ambassador expressed appreciation for the Italian support for the stability of Iraq, the training of the armed forces, and the exchange of security information in the fight against terrorism, praising the cooperation reached in the bilateral relations in various fields, and stated that the terrorist enemy is a common enemy, and efforts must be joined to fight it.

Ambassador Al-Suhail expressed her thanks to the Carabinieri for their efforts with the Ministry of Culture to return a number of antiquities to Iraq, calling for more direct contact through the embassy to exchange and follow-up information available on Iraqi artifacts.
