Foreign Minister Stresses Importance of Convening Iraqi-Egyptian Joint Committee in Baghdad to Activate Means of Bilateral Cooperation

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with his Egyptian counterpart Mr. Sameh Shoukry, the two sides discussed bilateral issues and means to activate them for the benefit of both countries, as well as the importance of convening the Iraqi-Egyptian joint committee due to be held at the end of this month and conduct its work in Baghdad.

The Minister called for the importance of benefiting from Egyptian expertise in development and economic levels , investment and energy fields , and building Iraqi capabilities. The two sides also discussed several regional and international issues of interest to the two countries, and their implications on joint action between the two countries.
