Foreign Minister Meets with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim and his Saudi counterpart Mr.Ibrahim Al-Assaf presided a coordination meeting in Riyadh to discuss the enhancement of joint cooperation in various fields to serve the interests of both countries economically, politically, commercially, culturally and in the field of security.

The two sides discussed the areas of cooperation available and focused on investment and combating terrorism. Both sides expressed the commitment of the two countries to exert maximum efforts to maintain fraternal relations, develop them and commence them to greater prospects.

This meeting is an indicator of the political will of both countries to overcome obstacles that hinder the prospects of the relations between Baghdad and Riyadh. The talks will result in the development of a working mechanism to activate successful areas of cooperation in various sectors.
