The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo Meets with Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy

Mr. Ahmed Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States met with Mr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
The Ambassador expressed his aspiration for cooperation between the Iraqi and Egyptian governments in all fields, especially the transfer of Egyptian experiences and expertise in the field of electric energy, and the wide presence and strong participation of Egyptian energy companies in Iraq.
The two sides discussed the means for preparing and coordinating the meetings of the joint Iraqi-Egyptian High Committee to be held in Baghdad in the coming period under the chairmanship of the Prime Ministers of the two countries.
Minister Shaker indicated his government’s keenness to convene this committee as soon as possible, pointing to the strategic importance of relations between Egypt and Iraq, and the remarkable development witnessed in the recent period.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Al-Dulaimi presented an official invitation by the Iraqi Minister of Electricity to his counterpart Dr. Muhammad Shaker to visit Iraq, which was welcomed, affirming that it would be met as soon as possible.
