Foreign Minister Discusses with Bahraini Counterpart Strengthening Means of Bilateral Cooperation

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from his Bahraini counterpart, Mr. Abdul Latif Al-Zayani.

The two Ministers discussed a number of common issues between the two countries, and the importance of activating means of bilateral cooperation in a way that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

Minister Fuad Hussein expressed his thanks for Bahrain’s stances in support of Iraq, and Baghdad’s understanding of the health measures taken to face the viral pandemic by the Bahraini side.

Minister Al-Zayani touched on his meetings with US officials and the discussions that took place on the situation in the region and Iraq, expressing his government’s support for Iraq and the steps taken to establish security.

The Bahraini Minister also referred to the Bahraini government’s measures to confront the outbreak of the new Coronavirus to control its spread, including limiting travel for citizens.
