The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Islamabad Meets with Pakistani Minister of Defence Production

The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Islamabad, Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta met with the Pakistan’s Minister of Defence Production Mrs. Zubaida Jalal.

The Ambassador indicated that Pakistan is an essential and important partner for Iraq, and the two countries are linked by long-standing relations and common factors, including countering terrorism and extremism, stressing the need for bilateral cooperation in the field of military industry, and to benefit from the experiences to achieve common interests.

The Ambassador delivered the invitation letter sent by the Iraqi Minister of Defense, Major General Jumah Inad Al-Jubouri, to his Pakistani counterpart, Mrs. Zubaida Jalal.
On her part, the Minister expressed her desire to accept the invitation at the scheduled time and expressed her appreciation for the bravery and courage of the Iraqi military establishment in defeating terrorism.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to maintain contact and pursue issues that achieve the interests of the two countries.
