The Chargé d’affairs of Embassy of Republic of Iraq in Azerbaijan Meets with Deputy Foreign Minister

The Chargé d’affairs of the Embassy of Republic of Iraq in Azerbaijan, Mr. Makki Resan Al-Mamouri, met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan for Administrative Affairs and Protocol and the Second European Department, Mr. Fariz Radhaif.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening them in the political, economic and cultural fields in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples. They also touched on the importance of joint coordination in international forums.

Mr. Al-Mamouri expressed Iraq’s desire to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, especially in the cultural and scientific fields, and the possibility of granting a number of academic fellowships to Iraqi students to study in Azerbaijani universities.

On his part, Mr. Fariz Rzaif stressed the importance of strengthening and developing relations in all fields, expressing his country’s aspiration to establish new prospects for cooperation and promised to deliver Iraq’s request to increase the number of academic fellowships for Iraqis wishing to study in Azerbaijan to the relevant Azerbaijani authorities.
