Foreign Minister Discusses with French Senator Expanding Bilateral Relations to Include Parliaments , Social and Cultural Actors

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with French Senator Mr. Remi Feraud, member of the Iraqi-French Friendship Committee at the headquarters of the French Senate.
The Minister expressed his thanks for France’s efforts in supporting Iraq at all levels, pointing out that relations are not limited to the two governments only, but extend to the two parliaments, and other social and cultural actors.
Senator Feraud expressed the French Senate’s satisfaction with the progress in bilateral relations, stressing the readiness of the Friendship Committee with Iraq to ​​provide all support to advance these relations, and stated that the Senate worked to form an economic cell aimed at encouraging French companies to work in Iraq, and to coordinate with Iraq in this regard by discussing investment opportunities.
Senator Feraud expressed France’s support for Iraq to enhance its international stance and consolidate sovereignty and stressed that France stands with Iraq to stop Turkish violations.
