Foreign Minister Receives a Phone Call from his British Counterpart
Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a phone call from British Foreign Secretary Mr. Dominic Raab to congratulate him on the occasion of his assumption of Foreign Minister of the Republic of Iraq.
The Minister stressed the depth of historical relations between the two countries, calling for bilateral cooperation in all fields and praised the UK’s supportive positions to Iraq in its war against Da’esh terrorist gangs, and economic cooperation, stating that he is looking forward to finding new opportunities for cooperation that contribute to achieving the aspirations of the two countries.
The two Ministers also touched on the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States, and the success of the first round.
Minister Fuad Hussein indicated that Iraq will hold extensive consultations, pointing out the importance of supporting Iraq in this field in international forums, and stressed that Iraq is looking to establish balanced relations with neighboring countries and the rest of the region.
