The Foreign Minister Receives a Phone Call from his Finnish Counterpart
Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from the Finnish Foreign Minister Mr. Pekka Haavisto on occasion of the completion of the formation of the government, and appointment of Foreign Minister of the Republic of Iraq.
During the call emphasis was placed on developing bilateral relations, and working to support Iraq, especially in the area of economic development.
Minister Fuad Hussein expressed his aspiration for more Finnish companies to enter the Iraqi market, expressing his thanks for the expertise and support provided by the Finnish government to Baghdad.
They also discussed a number of issues of common concern, including the Iran-US crisis, its impact on the region , stressing that the proper way to deal with it is through channels of dialogue and confirmed the importance of activating the positive side in relations to eliminate tensions in the region.
Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed that Iraq can play an important role in finding solutions to some problems, calling for the creation of points for dialogue by increasing cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
