Foreign Minister “We look forward to more cooperation with Canada in various fields”

Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein stated that the government is interested in advancing cooperation between Baghdad and Ottawa in order to achieve stability, and to provide strong impulses on the path to achieving bilateral strategic partnerships.

This came during a telephone conversation between His Excellency the Minister and his Canadian counterpart, Mr. Francois-Philippe Champagne

Minister Fuad Hussein expressed Iraq’s aspiration for more cooperation and exchange of experiences particularly in responding to the global Coronavirus pandemic.

The two Ministers also discussed several regional and international issues of common concern and explained that we look forward to further cooperation with Canada in various fields, praising the positions of the Canadian government and people in support of Iraq.

On his part, the Canadian Foreign Minister, reaffirmed his government’s continued support for Iraq, and its stability.
