Foreign Minister Receives Telephone Call from German Counterpart

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim stressed the importance of achieving stability in the region and achieving a solution to the crises according to the international authority. Minister Alhakim expressed his hope for continued cooperation between Baghdad and Berlin, and continued coordination and consultation on regional issues of common concern.

The two sides discussed means of developing bilateral relations in various fields during a telephone call received by Minister Alhakim from his German counterpart Mr. Heiko Maas.
The minister praised Germany’s support for Iraq’s efforts in combating terrorism.
On his part, Foreign Minister Maas stressed the importance of Iraq as a factor of balance and stability in the region, expressing his country’s desire to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, especially the economic field.
