Foreign Ministry Senior Undersecretary Meets with US Ambassador to Iraq
The Foreign Ministry Senior Undersecretary Ambassador Abdul Karim Hashim met with the US Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Matthew Tueller.
The two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of strengthening them by finding new prospects for continuous consultations between the two sides.
The most prominent subjects that the two sides discussed was the preparations of the two sides to hold the first rounds of strategic dialogue between the governments of the two countries, and the ways of its success in a way that reflects the two countries vision of a balanced strategic relationship based on common interests and mutual respect.
Mr. Hashim stressed that the planned strategic dialogue represents an opportunity to exchange views on many bilateral issues in addition to Iraq’s desire to develop its strategic relations with Washington.
