An Exceptional Flight Departs from Ankara to Transport Iraqis Stranded in Turkey

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara launched an exceptional flight today 6/5/2020 , to Iraq with 70 passengers on board .

This flight comes within the framework of the rapid response of the embassy to solve the problems and difficulties facing our citizens outside the country due to the spread of the new Coronavirus.

Our embassy had previously announced through its official account and hotlines to receive travel requests in addition to the continuous coordination by the Protocol Department, which approached the relevant authorities for assistance in opening the airspace, and allowing the flight to be operated by Iraqi Airways .

The number of flights our embassy has made comes to (8) with 1538 passengers and the diplomatic staff had accompanied them to complete their travel procedures.

The Turkish side has shown remarkable cooperation by granting the necessary facilities for the conduct of this exceptional flight.
