Foreign Minister Meets Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Sexual Violence

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Ms. Pramila Patten, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Sexual Violence. The meeting reviewed the overall situation in the Iraqi arena and the efforts made by international organizations to support Iraq in various fields.
Minister Alhakim stressed that Iraq is doing all it can to contribute to raising the level of Iraqi women through the adoption of programs for women.
Indicating that Da’esh terrorist gangs committed the most heinous crimes against humanity and violated the sanctity of women.
Minister Alhakim called for the importance of adopting projects that contribute to support Iraqi women, especially as they have suffered many challenges in the war against terrorism.
