Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Receives Chargé d’Affaires of British Embassy in Baghdad

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Aluloom, received Ms. Rosie Cave the Chargé d’Affaires of the British Embassy to Iraq, to discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation across various areas, including the migration file and the latest regional and international developments.
The meeting addressed the latest developments in Syria, as Undersecretary Bahr Aluloom affirmed that Syria’s stability is a major factor for the security of Iraq and the region, as well he underlined the importance of reaching a comprehensive political solution that achieves security and stability.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed the ongoing preparations for the Arab Summit scheduled to be held in Baghdad on 17 May 2025, the Undersecretary expressed Iraq’s hope that the summit will be a significant milestone in enhancing Arab integration and regional cooperation.
On her part, Ms. Cave affirmed her country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and move forward in completing files of collaboration across several fields.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue joint coordination to enhance regional and international stability.
