Deputy Prime Minister And Foreign Minister Chairs the 14th Meeting on Arab Summit Preparations in Baghdad

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein chaired the 14th meeting on Thursday 27 March 2025, at the Prime Minister’s Guest House, regarding the ongoing preparations for hosting the next Arab Summit in Baghdad in May 2025. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al Shammari, the Minister of Finance Ms. Taif Sami, the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Hamid Al Ghazi, and the Mayor of Baghdad Mr. Ammar Musa, in addition to the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Technical Affairs Dr. Ahmed Nayef, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Bilateral Relations Mr. Mohammed Hussein Bahr Aluloom, the Chairman of the Summit’s Political Committee, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, along with representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies.

The participants discussed developments in the work of the Security Committee and reviewed the performance of the operations room and logistical support, and procedures related to the summit’s ceremonies. They also reviewed the decisions of the Media Committee, and discussed developments in the work of the Political Committee to ensure the completion of all necessary arrangements for the success of the summit.
