Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives UAE Ambassador

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq Mr. Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad on Tuesday 25 March 2025.
The meeting dealt with ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations across various areas, in addition to discussing issues of mutual concern. The two sides affirmed their shared commitment to maintaining the best relations at the political, economic, and cultural levels, emphasizing the two countries’ role in easing regional tensions and contributing to resolving outstanding issues in the region.
On his part, Ambassador Al Mazrouei extended his thanks and appreciation to the Foreign Ministry for its support and cooperation which contributed to the success of the UAE Embassy in Baghdad.
As well as the Ambassador emphasized the importance of activating cooperation between the two countries and developing bilateral relations to achieve mutual interests. At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Al Mazrouei extended an official invitation to the Minister from his Emirati counterpart to visit the UAE and participate in Bani Yas Forum.
