Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Holds a Phone Call with Arab League Secretary General to Discuss Regional Developments

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein held a phone call on Monday, 24 March 2025, with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in which they discussed regional developments and challenges facing Arab countries.

During the call, the Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the Iraqi government to the Arab League in several areas, commending Iraq’s efforts to strengthen joint Arab action.

The two sides also highlighted the most prominent crises facing the region and ways to address them in a way that contributes to achieving regional security and stability.

In addition two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening joint coordination to confront current challenges, emphasizing the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to resolve crises in a way that serves the interests of the Arab peoples and enhances joint Arab cooperation.
