Statement

The Foreign Ministry expresses the Republic of Iraq’s strong condemnation of the assassination attempt on His Excellency President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, affirming its support for Somalia in Confronting terrorism and violence that threaten its stability and security.

As well the Ministry emphasizes the need to strengthen international efforts to combat terrorism and support peace in the region, and the importance of enhancing cooperation to confront common security challenges.
