Chargé d’Affaires a.i in Nouakchott Delivers a Letter of Invitation from Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Mauritanian Counterpart

The Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Nouakchott Dr. Zahim Mohamed Muslim, met with Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad. Mr. Daman Ould Hamar, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The Chargé d’Affaires handed the Secretary-Generalan an official invitation letter from Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, to his Mauritanian counterpart Dr. Mohamed Salem Merzoug to visit Iraq.

On his part, the Secretary-General welcomed the invitation, emphasizing the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, Iraq and Mauritania.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations across various areas. As well they emphasized the importance of scheduling a convenient time for holding the meetings of the Iraqi-Mauritanian Joint Economic Committee in Baghdad during the first half of 2025.
