Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Receives Credentials of Non-Residents Ambassadors to Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received the copies of credentials of a number of non-resident ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Iraq, during an official ceremony held at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Baghdad. 

The list of ambassadors included: Mr. Ilir Hysa, non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Iraq; Mr. Sevag Avedissian, non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Iraq; and Mr. Alfred Mutiwazuka, non-resident ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Iraq. 

The Minister welcomed the new Ambassadors, affirming Iraq’s keenness to strengthen its bilateral relations with their countries across various areas to serves common interests and supports frameworks for diplomatic and economic cooperation. In addition Minister Hussein stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on regional and international issues of common concern. On their part, the Ambassadors extended their thanks for the warm reception, and affirmed their commitment to work on developing relations between Iraq and their countries, by enhancing cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural fields, in a way that opens new horizons for partnership and mutual understanding.

This meeting is part of Iraq’s efforts to enhance its diplomatic presence and consolidate its relations with friendly and brotherly countries which contributes to achieving security, stability, and development at the regional and international levels.
