Iraq’s Ambassador to Riyadh Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Relations with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs

As part of strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom Ms. Safia Taleb Al Souhail visited the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday 4 March 2025, and met with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries across various fields, in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the work of the subcommittees of the Iraqi-Saudi Joint Coordination Council, which contributes to developing the strategic partnership between the two sides.

Ambassador Al Souhail expressed her aspiration for further productive cooperation between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, which enhances the common interests of the two brotherly peoples and supports security and stability in the region.
